About Us
Works of Wyoming is a gift shop and art gallery that exclusively contains works from over 75 artists from around the state of Wyoming. We conveniently share a wide variety of both original art and recreations in many mediums from our talented and dedicated artists through both our retail store and online shopping. From larger fine art mediums such as photography, paintings, sculpture, metal and wood work, pottery, and jewelry to more gift items such as greeting cards, bookmarks, skin care products, ornaments, notebooks - our art and gifts are as varied as the lifestyles of our artists. Take home a memento of your memories, experiences and activities in Wyoming!
Our Story
WoW opened its doors to the public in 2011 under the Artist Development Program started by the Wyoming Women's Business Center. The Wyoming Women’s Business Center (WWBC) is an organization based in Laramie that is dedicated to helping Wyoming residents become and thrive as entrepreneurs. The Artists Development Program and Works of Wyoming Gallery was started as a program under the WWBC to help Wyoming artists specifically gain business knowledge by having a place to sell their work regularly. The gallery originally started on the third floor of the Laramie Plains Civic Center. In August, 2012, we moved to downtown Laramie, to our First St. location. Then in Spring of 2017 WoW had its third move to our current location at 300 S. 2nd St. in the heart of Downtown Laramie.
Most recently this summer of 2025, Works of Wyoming transferred ownership from the Wyoming Women’s Business Center and is now independently owned and operated! An exciting development as the WWBC is an organization dedicated to helping start successful small businesses in Wyoming, and Works of Wyoming has grown to be able to stand on it’s own from the organization! Ownership may be new, but the goal remains the same- to provide a space for Wyoming artists to sell their work regularly!
Laramie is located in the SE corner of Wyoming, approximately 30 miles from the Colorado border and 65 miles from the Nebraska panhandle, and 45 miles from our state capital in Cheyenne. Our main roads through town are I-80 and Highway 287, with many front range visitors taking day trips to the Snowy Range Mountains, just 30 minutes west of Laramie.
Thank you! for supporting our Wyoming Artists! We appreciate you!
