2023 April Artist of the Month - Kyle Spradley
Artist Statement:
Kyle Spradley is a landscape and nature photographer who also specializes in sports,
photojournalism and video production.
He is based in Laramie, Wyoming showcasing the public lands of Wyoming and beyond in hopes
of encouraging others to explore the beauty of what is around them.

Artist Bio
Kyle Spradley is a landscape and nature photographer who also specializes in sports, photojournalism and video production.
He is a Laramie, Wyoming photographer available for commercial and editorial services, wedding photography and portraits, and is an FAA-certified Drone Pilot producing aerial photography and videography.
When he was just 14, Kyle started to discover the intricacies of photography. While in high school, he took a photo class in which he developed and printed photos via darkroom. Soon, the digital revolution engulfed the photography world and, thus, he switched to digital SLRs.

While in college at the University of Missouri, Kyle studied photojournalism and natural
resources. In May 2009, he earned a BS in Agricultural Journalism and after graduation, he was hired as a photo intern for the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis.
In March of 2010, Kyle accepted the position as Field Editor for Rural Missouri Magazine. He wrote feature stories and designed layouts for the statewide publication with a monthly circulation over half a million. He produced multimedia pieces to accompany the stories.

Now he resides in Laramie and produces photos and videos that are featured in countless print and web publications, magazines, television commercials and social media.
Throughout his career Kyle has gained experience in several facets of photography including studio lighting, product shoots, sports and action photography, portraits and self-teaching multimedia production.
In 2017, Kyle became an FAA-Certified Drone Pilot with passing the Part 107 Certification. You'll see him buzzing around the local landscapes capturing a new angle for drone photography and videography.
