Hand braided horsehair bolo tie

32" long braid with 4" long tassels

1/8" wide braided brown, white and green horsehair ( natural and dyed hair )

Green resin cabochon glued to the metal bolo slider

1" wide x 1 1/2" long opalescent green resin cabochon

Silver colored bolo slider

Hand tied sliding horsehair knot is extra assurance to keep the slide secure

Brown horsehair tassels with hand hitched horsehair needle knots covering the top

From the artist:

I make most of my pieces from the tail hair from my own horses. Any natural colors are the color of the tail hair. I dye white hair to get the other colors such as teal, orange, blue, purple, green, yellow, pink, red (unless the unicorns donate some of their hair when they pass through my area).

I also enjoy making personal mementos for people who have sent me hair from one of their own horses.
