Background:

> Geranium balm: on a snowy January day, I was pouring over the seed catalogs,  a wonderful pastime indeed. As I was reading the section on geranium's, I thought back fondly on a favorite Christmas movie written by Beatrix potter, the “Tailor of Gloucester”. 

The poor tailor only rented a kitchen, which he shared with his cat Simpkin and geraniums. My mom and my sister loved geraniums, but I had never quite understood the appeal until quite recently.

 I learned some new and inspirational historical information from the seed catalog. Geraniums were highly prized by the first Europeans for food and beauty. This piqued my interest and I found other sources and information on geranium and geranium essential oil's.  Several years later, I created my Geranium balm.
