Artist Statement:

At Hanna’s Homecrafted Apothecary, I create small batch herbal salves using locally and sustainably sourced ingredients. By working directly with trusted local farms, I ensure high-quality and chemical-free remedies while supporting small businesses in our community. My salves provide a holistic approach to nourish oneself without relying on products of unknown origin.

Artist Bio:

I received formal training at living arts college in Portland, Oregon in my early 20's to become a homebirth midwife. Working with herbs and other healing modalities was the foundation of my career, and though I no longer support women during their childbearing years, my products are designed to nurture all humans and animals. Working with medicinal plants, whether I am growing them or harvesting them from wild, takes a great deal of skill and patience. In the thirty years since training, I have cultivated my techniques and practices to ensure the best possible outcome. This is my art form, and it is used to help others.
