" A Chat On The Road " Cowboy
with Dog Framed Itaglio Etching
Artist: Mary Cunningham
Sharing the road with livestock on foot or in a trailer is a common occurrence across the rural West. These less traveled country roads provide the space and safety for cowboys to move livestock to fresh pastures and bring them home for Spring calving and lambing. As the livestock trails down the road the ritual also lends time for friends and neighbors to stop and visit along the way. Many a story has been told, problems solved, and laughs shared during these roadside chats
